Robert Eich was asked to take over the Fred McKenzie
Agency on his retirement. Robert Eich consulted with William Eich and the two of them formed a new agency called Eich Bros. Insurance Agency. Over a period of time they bought out the following agents:
Eleanor Gillett, Frances Batteiger, Mark Leatherman, Charles Morley, William Morley and Earl Doane Agency. |

1954 Weaver Insurance Agency became available due to a death. William L. Eich was in his second year of college at Miami in Oxford, Ohio. Robert Eich approached William Eich about the sale of the agency.
William L. Eich Agency was formed. |

Lawrence W. Eich died in August 22, 1953.
Robert L. Eich, his son, purchased his father’s insurance agency. Robert L. Eich Insurance Agency started in September of 1953. |

Lawrence W. Eich was an auto client of Fred J. Kapp. Fred invited Lawrence to be a sub agent for him.
The L.W. Eich Insurance Agency was formed. |

Fred J. Kapp came to Youngstown, Ohio, to start his insurance business. Fred had been living in Columbus, Ohio, working as a bookkeeper for a coal company. While residing in Columbus Fred met Paul Ginger, President of State Auto Mutual Insurance Co. This lead to Fred opening up an insurance agency in the Erie Terminal Building on West Commerce Street in downtown Youngstown. State Auto was the main carrier represented. |
